We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Hybrid Brain-Computer Interface Researcher to join our cutting-edge Neurotechnology team in Hanover. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and testing novel BCI systems that integrate various neural signal acquisition modalities and processing techniques. Your work will directly contribute to advancing our understanding of brain-computer interaction and translating research into clinical applications that improve the lives of patients with neurological disorders. This position requires a strong background in neuroscience, signal processing, machine learning, and hands-on experience with BCI systems.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Conduct research and development of hybrid Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) systems, combining invasive and non-invasive methods.
• Design and implement algorithms for neural signal processing, feature extraction, and classification.
• Develop and optimize experimental protocols for BCI system testing in laboratory and clinical settings.
• Analyze complex neurophysiological data, interpret results, and publish findings in top-tier journals.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, neuroscientists, and medical professionals.
• Contribute to grant proposals and secure funding for future research initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and regulatory standards in neurotechnology research.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) and neurotechnology.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++.
• Strong background in signal processing, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
• Experience with neurophysiological data acquisition hardware (e.g., EEG, ECoG, fMRI).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Postdoctoral experience in BCI research or a related neurotechnology domain.
• Experience with real-time neural data processing and closed-loop BCI systems.
• Familiarity with clinical applications of BCI, especially for rehabilitation or communication.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and hardware-software integration.
• Track record of publications in high-impact journals and conference proceedings.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.
