Are you an ambitious engineering student looking to gain hands-on experience in a global manufacturing environment? ABB’s Gossau facility is offering an exciting internship opportunity in Manufacturing Engineering. This role is perfect for someone eager to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world production challenges, focusing on process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement. We value your technical skills and enthusiasm, and importantly, no German language proficiency is required for this position.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Conduct time studies and process analyses to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Support the optimization of existing production lines for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to manufacturing defects or inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and R&D, on various projects.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
• Contribute to the implementation of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal communication).
• Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and processes.
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Previous internship or project experience in a manufacturing setting.
