We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled English Speaking Hydrogen Storage Researcher to join our innovative R&D team in Bern, Switzerland. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both in our state-of-the-art labs and from home, focusing on cutting-edge research and development in advanced materials for hydrogen storage. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing next-generation solutions that drive the clean energy transition. You will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments, analyzing complex data, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to advance our hydrogen storage technologies. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Design and execute experimental studies on novel materials for hydrogen storage, including synthesis, characterization, and performance testing.
- Analyze and interpret complex experimental data, using advanced analytical techniques and software.
- Develop and optimize hydrogen storage systems and components, focusing on efficiency, safety, and scalability.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including materials scientists, engineers, and external partners.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and scientific publications.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific and technological advancements in hydrogen storage and related fields.
- Contribute to patent applications and intellectual property development.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards in all research activities.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- PhD or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience (academic or industrial) in hydrogen storage technologies and materials (e.g., metal hydrides, MOFs, porous carbons).
- Strong background in material characterization techniques (e.g., XRD, SEM, TEM, BET, FTIR, TPD).
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Origin) and scientific writing.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to research.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Postdoctoral experience in hydrogen energy research.
- Demonstrated publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Experience with computational modeling or simulation of materials (e.g., DFT, molecular dynamics).
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices for hydrogen handling and gas systems.
- Familiarity with German or French language skills is a plus.
