Are you passionate about the future of mobile communication? A1 Telekom Austria is seeking a dynamic and skilled Hybrid 5G Network Planner to join our innovative Mobile Networks team in Graz. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in the strategic planning, design, and optimization of our cutting-edge 5G network infrastructure. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of working both from our modern offices in Graz and remotely, allowing for an optimal work-life balance while contributing to Austria’s leading telecommunications network. You will leverage your expertise to ensure our network is robust, efficient, and ready to meet the evolving demands of our customers, driving the rollout of advanced 5G capabilities across the region.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop and implement strategic plans for 5G network evolution, including site selection, capacity planning, and coverage optimization.
• Conduct detailed network design and dimensioning for 5G radio access network (RAN) and core network elements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including RF engineers, transmission specialists, and operations, to ensure seamless network integration and performance.
• Analyze network performance data, identify bottlenecks, and propose optimization strategies to enhance 5G service quality and user experience.
• Evaluate new technologies and vendor solutions to ensure A1 remains at the forefront of mobile network innovation.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, project plans, and documentation for 5G network deployments.
• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes for network infrastructure investments.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience in mobile network planning and optimization, specifically with 5G NR (New Radio) technology.
• Strong understanding of 3GPP standards for 5G, LTE, and previous generations.
• Proficiency with network planning tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet, MapInfo).
• Solid knowledge of RF propagation, antenna theory, and link budget analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of virtualized network functions (VNF) and cloud-native architectures for 5G core.
• Experience with Python scripting or other automation tools for network analysis.
• German language skills are a plus.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
