We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hybrid Naval Architecture Draftsman to join our dynamic team in Neckarsulm. This role is crucial for transforming design concepts into precise technical drawings and documentation for our advanced naval projects. The successful candidate will work closely with naval architects and engineers, ensuring all designs meet stringent technical specifications, regulatory standards, and client requirements. You will play a vital role in the lifecycle of our vessels, from initial concept through detailed production.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings and schematics for various components of naval vessels, including hull structures, outfitting, machinery arrangements, and systems routing.
• Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, ShipConstructor, Rhinoceros 3D) to produce accurate and efficient designs.
• Prepare comprehensive design specifications, material lists, and weight calculations based on input from naval architects and engineering teams.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, production, and project management, to integrate various aspects of vessel design.
• Ensure all drawings and documentation comply with relevant international maritime regulations, classification society rules, and internal quality standards.
• Review and revise existing drawings and documentation as necessary, incorporating design changes, client feedback, and as-built modifications.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and operational performance.
• Maintain organized records of design files, revisions, and project documentation.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven proficiency in professional CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar 2D/3D design tools.
• Strong foundational understanding of naval architecture principles, marine engineering concepts, and shipbuilding practices.
• Knowledge of various shipbuilding materials and construction methods.
• Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of clear and precise technical discussion.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all drafting work.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering diagrams, and regulatory documents.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to design challenges.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• A vocational degree, technical diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with specialized marine design software (e.g., ShipConstructor, AVEVA Marine, NUPAS-CADMATIC).
• Familiarity with German and international maritime classification society rules (e.g., DNV, Lloyd's Register, GL).
• Basic proficiency in German language skills is a plus.
• Experience working in a hybrid work environment.
