We are seeking a talented and motivated English Speaking Edge Computing Engineer to join our innovative team in Münster. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge edge computing solutions for industrial applications. You will work on integrating edge devices with cloud platforms, optimizing performance, and ensuring the security and scalability of our distributed systems. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, develop, and implement robust edge computing solutions for various industrial use cases.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain edge devices and software applications in production environments.
• Integrate edge systems seamlessly with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and existing IT infrastructure.
• Optimize edge solutions for high performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including IoT developers, software architects, and hardware engineers.
• Provide technical expertise, troubleshooting, and support for edge computing initiatives.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in edge computing, IoT, and cloud technologies.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and project planning meetings.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Go, Java).
• Solid experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, containerd).
• Demonstrated knowledge of edge computing frameworks or platforms (e.g., AWS IoT Greengrass, Azure IoT Edge, Siemens Industrial Edge).
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, distributed systems, and security best practices.
• Extensive experience with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent written and spoken English communication skills.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
• Experience with industrial automation protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus TCP, PROFINET).
