Stellenbeschreibung
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gallery Assistant to join our team. This vital role supports the daily operations of our galleries, ensuring a welcoming and secure environment for all visitors. The Gallery Assistant will be the first point of contact for many, providing information, assistance, and maintaining the highest standards of visitor experience and artwork safety.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Welcome and assist visitors, providing information about exhibitions, museum layout, and facilities.
- Monitor gallery spaces to ensure the safety and security of artworks and visitors.
- Respond to visitor inquiries and resolve minor issues with professionalism and courtesy.
- Assist with the opening and closing procedures of the museum and individual galleries.
- Support educational programs and special events as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized gallery environment.
- Report any incidents, concerns, or maintenance needs promptly to the supervisory staff.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and observation.
- Fluency in German and English.
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Previous experience in a museum, gallery, or customer service role.
- Knowledge of art history or an interest in the arts.
- Proficiency in French or other additional languages.
- First Aid certification.
