Stellenbeschreibung
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hydrologist to join our Water Resources team in Cloppenburg. This pivotal role involves contributing to the sustainable management of our region’s water resources through comprehensive hydrological analysis, data interpretation, and modeling. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing strategies for water abstraction, flood protection, and groundwater management, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and supporting the long-term resilience of our water supply systems.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Conduct hydrological investigations and assessments for water resource management projects.
- Analyze hydrological data, including rainfall, river flow, groundwater levels, and water quality.
- Develop and apply hydrological models to simulate water systems and predict future conditions.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation of hydrological findings.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of climate change and land use on water resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, environmental scientists, and regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of water abstraction and flood management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with national and regional water legislation and environmental standards.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Master's degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in hydrology or water resources management.
- Proficiency in hydrological modeling software (e.g., MIKE SHE, HEC-RAS, MODFLOW).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Doctorate (Ph.D.) in a relevant field.
- Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Familiarity with German water legislation and regulatory frameworks (e.g., WHG).
