Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lavender Farm Assistant to join our team for the upcoming harvesting season and beyond. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, have a strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in organic farming and horticulture. As a key member of our farm crew, you will be involved in all stages of lavender and herb cultivation, with a primary focus on harvesting and post-harvest processing. This is a hands-on position requiring physical stamina and attention to detail, offering a unique opportunity to learn about organic farming practices from seed to harvest.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Perform manual harvesting of lavender and various other herbs according to established organic farming protocols.
• Assist with post-harvest activities, including sorting, cleaning, drying, and basic packaging of harvested crops.
• Participate in general farm maintenance tasks such as weeding, planting, irrigation, and soil preparation.
• Monitor plant health and report any issues or concerns to the farm manager.
• Operate and maintain basic farm equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (sun, heat, light rain).
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of plant care or a strong willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication skills.
