We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Precision Horologist to join our esteemed watchmaking team in Meppen. As a Watchmaker at Wempe, you will be responsible for the comprehensive service, repair, and restoration of high-end mechanical and quartz watches from various prestigious brands. This role demands exceptional manual dexterity, a deep understanding of horological principles, and an unwavering commitment to accuracy and quality. You will work with a diverse range of movements, ensuring each timepiece leaves our workshop performing to its original specifications and aesthetic beauty.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Perform full service, including disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, and reassembly of mechanical and quartz movements.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex watch movement issues, including timing, amplitude, and power reserve problems.
• Repair and replace worn or broken components, including gears, springs, escapements, and balance wheels.
• Conduct precision timing adjustments and performance tests using state-of-the-art equipment.
• Restore and refinish watch cases, bracelets, and dials to impeccable standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop environment.
• Adhere to strict quality control standards and brand-specific service protocols.
• Keep detailed records of all repair and service work performed.
• Stay current with new watchmaking technologies, tools, and techniques through continuous learning.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience as a Watchmaker or Precision Horologist, preferably with luxury brands.
• Expert knowledge of mechanical and quartz watch movements.
• Exceptional manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Proficiency with specialized watchmaking tools and equipment (e.g., timing machines, polishing lathes).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and diagnostic skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Fluent in German and proficient in English.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Watchmaking certification from a recognized horological institute (e.g., WOSTEP, SAWTA, BHHI).
• Experience with specific high-end watch brands (e.g., Rolex, Patek Philippe, Omega, Cartier, A. Lange & Söhne).
• Experience in restoration of vintage timepieces.
• A passion for horology and its history.
