We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Hybrid Pharmacology Researcher to join our dynamic Drug Discovery team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the identification and validation of novel drug targets and the characterization of lead compounds, primarily focusing on in vitro and ex vivo pharmacological assays. This position requires a blend of lab-based experimental work and data analysis, with a keen eye for scientific rigor and innovation. You will play a crucial role in advancing our pipeline, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to bring groundbreaking medicines to patients faster.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, develop, and execute a variety of in vitro and ex vivo pharmacology assays to support drug discovery projects.
• Conduct detailed data analysis, interpretation, and presentation of experimental results to project teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to target validation, lead optimization, and mechanism of action studies for novel therapeutic candidates.
• Collaborate effectively with medicinal chemists, biologists, and other scientists within a matrix environment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records and contribute to scientific reports, publications, and patent applications.
• Troubleshoot and optimize experimental protocols to ensure high-quality and reproducible data.
• Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature and technological advancements in pharmacology and drug discovery.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• PhD or Master's degree in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing and executing in vitro pharmacological assays (e.g., cell-based assays, enzyme assays, receptor binding assays).
• Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, Excel) and statistical methods.
• Strong understanding of drug discovery processes and principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Postdoctoral experience in an academic or industrial drug discovery setting.
• Experience with automated liquid handling systems and high-throughput screening.
• Familiarity with in vivo pharmacological models.
• Knowledge of specific therapeutic areas (e.g., immunology, oncology).
• Proficiency in German is a plus.
