We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hybrid Flight Dynamics Engineer to join our innovative aerospace team in Luzern. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in the analysis, design, and implementation of flight dynamics systems for cutting-edge space missions. You will work on various aspects, including orbit determination, trajectory optimization, attitude control, and mission planning for satellites and spacecraft. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to challenging projects from initial concept through to operational support, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure mission success. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in astrodynamics, control systems, and software development, with a passion for space exploration and a meticulous approach to complex problem-solving.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop, simulate, and optimize trajectories for various spacecraft missions.
• Perform orbit determination and prediction for active and passive satellites.
• Design and implement algorithms for attitude control and maneuver planning.
• Conduct detailed performance analysis of flight dynamics systems.
• Participate in mission planning, operations, and anomaly resolution.
• Collaborate with propulsion, GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control), and software teams.
• Generate technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Support the integration and testing of flight dynamics software and hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in flight dynamics and space technology.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in flight dynamics or astrodynamics.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
• Strong understanding of orbital mechanics, spacecraft dynamics, and control theory.
• Experience with mission analysis and simulation tools (e.g., STK, GMAT).
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Experience with real-time flight operations support.
• Knowledge of space systems engineering principles.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Experience in a commercial aerospace or defense environment.
• Fluency in German (not required, but a plus).
