We are seeking an experienced Hybrid Mixed-Signal IC Designer with a strong focus on circuit design to join our innovative team in Klagenfurt. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in the design, simulation, and verification of complex mixed-signal integrated circuits for cutting-edge power management and sensor applications. You will work closely with system architects, digital designers, and layout engineers to deliver high-performance, robust, and manufacturable solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit theory, a strong ability to contribute to all phases of the design cycle, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of silicon technology.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design and simulate complex analog and mixed-signal circuits such as ADCs, DACs, LDOs, DC-DC converters, PLLs, and sensor interfaces.
• Perform detailed transistor-level circuit design and optimization for performance, power, and area.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-layout and post-layout simulations using industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, AMS Designer).
• Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure optimal physical implementation and adhere to design rules and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain robust verification environments, including testbenches and behavioral models.
• Participate in design reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and provide clear documentation of design choices and results.
• Support silicon bring-up, characterization, and debugging activities.
• Stay abreast of new technologies, methodologies, and tools in mixed-signal design.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mixed-signal integrated circuit design.
• Strong proficiency in analog and mixed-signal circuit design fundamentals.
• Expertise in designing various analog building blocks (e.g., op-amps, comparators, bandgap references, voltage regulators).
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, and other industry-standard EDA tools.
• Experience with Verilog-AMS or VHDL-AMS for mixed-signal simulation and modeling.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics and process technologies.
• Familiarity with layout considerations and parasitic extraction.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Experience with power management IC design.
• Knowledge of sensor interface design (e.g., MEMS, Hall, magnetic sensors).
• Familiarity with high-voltage design techniques.
• Experience with statistical simulation (Monte Carlo) and reliability analysis.
• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Perl, SKILL).
• Publications or presentations in relevant conferences/journals.
