We are seeking a proactive and experienced English Speaking Regulatory Compliance Lead to join our team in Siegen. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that SMS group GmbH adheres to all relevant national and international regulatory requirements, particularly within the industrial machinery and engineering sectors. You will lead compliance initiatives, interpret complex regulations, and implement robust frameworks to mitigate risks and uphold our reputation for integrity and operational excellence.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive regulatory compliance program.
• Monitor and analyze new and evolving national and international regulations relevant to the industrial machinery and engineering sectors (e.g., product safety, environmental, trade compliance).
• Provide expert guidance and interpretation of compliance requirements to various business units, including engineering, sales, and legal departments.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits to identify potential areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies, legal counsel, and industry associations as required.
• Manage and respond to regulatory inquiries, examinations, and investigations.
• Oversee the documentation and reporting of all compliance activities.
• Support the integration of compliance best practices into company policies and procedures.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in regulatory compliance, legal, or risk management within an international industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply complex national and international regulations (e.g., EU Directives, REACH, RoHS, export controls, product safety standards).
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, for professional communication.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and initiatives effectively.
• Proficiency in compliance software and data management tools.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in compliance (e.g., CCEP, GRCP) is a plus.
• Experience with German and EU regulatory frameworks.
• Fluency in German is a significant advantage.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance principles.
