We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bicycle Mechanic to join our dynamic team at our urban bike shop in Freiburg im Breisgau. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from routine maintenance and repairs to custom builds and e-bike diagnostics, ensuring every bicycle leaves our shop in optimal condition. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and repairs on all types of bicycles, including road, mountain, hybrid, and e-bikes.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues accurately and efficiently.
• Assemble new bicycles and prepare them for sale, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.
• Conduct quality control checks on all completed repairs and builds.
• Advise customers on maintenance, parts, and upgrades, providing clear and friendly explanations.
• Manage workshop inventory, ordering parts and supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
• Stay updated on the latest bicycle technology, tools, and repair techniques.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience as a Bicycle Mechanic or in a similar mechanical role.
• Strong knowledge of bicycle components, systems, and repair techniques.
• Proficiency with various hand and power tools common in bike repair.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Professional certification in bicycle mechanics (e.g., Cytech, Bosch eBike Expert).
• Experience with electric bicycle systems and diagnostics (Bosch, Shimano, Yamaha, etc.).
• Familiarity with various bike brands and high-end components.
• German language proficiency is a plus but not strictly required for this role.
