We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English Speaking Smart Grid Architect to join our innovative team in Graz. This hybrid role involves designing and implementing advanced smart grid solutions that will drive the future of energy management and distribution. You will be responsible for the end-to-end architectural design, ensuring scalability, security, and interoperability of our smart grid systems. This position requires a deep understanding of energy systems, digital technologies, and a passion for sustainable solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and partners to translate business requirements into robust technical architectures.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead the architectural design and development of complex smart grid solutions, including microgrids, DER integration, and energy management systems.
• Define technical specifications, standards, and best practices for smart grid components and systems.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between business goals and technical architecture.
• Evaluate new technologies and trends in the smart grid domain to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring the successful implementation of architectural designs.
• Conduct system performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization for smart grid applications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity best practices for all smart grid solutions.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Extensive experience (6+ years) in smart grid architecture, design, and implementation.
• In-depth knowledge of smart grid technologies, including SCADA, ADMS, MDM, DER integration, and communication protocols (e.g., IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3).
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their application in smart grid solutions.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application in critical infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment and collaborate with distributed teams.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF) or cloud architecture.
• Experience with renewable energy integration and energy storage systems.
• Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning applications in smart grids.
• Knowledge of European energy market regulations and standards.
• German language skills are a plus.
