Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CAD Draftsman / Designer to join our engineering team in Basel. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing technical drawings and designs using CAD software. This role requires strong communication skills in English and a meticulous approach to ensure all designs meet required specifications and standards. You will collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to translate conceptual designs into precise technical documentation.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop and prepare detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Interpret engineering designs and translate them into accurate technical drawings and documentation.
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes, ensuring version control and accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and project specifications.
• Maintain organized records of drawings and design documents.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting processes and standards.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in English.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Strong understanding of drafting principles, standards, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal communication).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
• Experience in the manufacturing, heavy industry, or automation sectors.
• Familiarity with P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) creation.
• Knowledge of other European languages (e.g., German, French).
