Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Crop Planting Laborer to join our agricultural team in Chur, Switzerland. This full-time, on-site position involves various manual tasks related to crop cultivation and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker, comfortable with outdoor labor in various weather conditions, and able to communicate effectively in English. Prior experience in agriculture is a plus but not strictly required, as we are willing to train motivated individuals.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Prepare fields for planting, including soil cultivation and fertilization.
• Plant seeds, seedlings, and established crops using hand tools or small machinery.
• Perform manual weeding, thinning, and pruning of crops to ensure optimal growth.
• Assist with irrigation systems setup, maintenance, and operation.
• Monitor crop health, identifying and reporting any signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
• Support harvest activities, including picking, sorting, and packaging produce.
• Operate and maintain basic farm equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and agricultural best practices.
• Perform general farm maintenance and clean-up tasks as required.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of agricultural principles is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and understanding instructions).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in farming, horticulture, or a similar agricultural role.
• Experience operating small farm machinery (e.g., tillers, mowers).
• Knowledge of basic plant care and cultivation techniques.
• Additional language skills, particularly German or Romansh, are a plus.
