Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Studies to lead our academic team and oversee all educational programs at our Krems an der Donau center. The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of language pedagogy, and a commitment to delivering exceptional learning experiences. This role involves strategic planning, curriculum development, teacher management, and ensuring the highest quality of instruction across all language programs.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of all language programs and curricula.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate a team of highly qualified language instructors.
• Ensure the consistent application of Berlitz instructional methods and quality standards.
• Manage scheduling, class allocation, and teacher workload to optimize operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to instructors.
• Handle student inquiries, feedback, and complaints related to academic matters.
• Stay current with best practices in language education and integrate innovative approaches.
• Collaborate with the Center Director on marketing, sales, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment for both students and staff.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Master's degree in Education, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in language teaching, with at least 2 years in an academic leadership or management role.
• Demonstrated expertise in language pedagogy, curriculum development, and instructional design.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in German and English (C1 level or higher for both).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with various language assessment tools and methodologies.

• Experience with the Berlitz Method or similar direct instruction methodologies.
• Additional language proficiencies.
