We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled English Speaking Battery Cell Development Engineer to join our innovative team in Frankfurt. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in the research, development, and optimization of next-generation battery cells for electric vehicles. You will work within a dynamic R&D environment, contributing to the full lifecycle of battery cell development, from concept to validation, ensuring performance, safety, and longevity. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Design, develop, and optimize new battery cell concepts and architectures.
- Conduct electrochemical and material characterization of battery cells.
- Perform failure analysis and root cause investigation of battery cell performance issues.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (materials science, production, vehicle integration) to ensure seamless development.
- Plan and execute experiments, analyze data, and report findings effectively.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in battery technology and integrate new ideas.
- Contribute to intellectual property generation through patent applications.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in lithium-ion battery cell development.
- Strong understanding of electrochemical principles, battery materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in battery testing methods and data analysis (e.g., EIS, CV, charge/discharge cycling).
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Experience with solid-state batteries or advanced battery chemistries.
- Familiarity with simulation tools for battery performance or thermal management.
- Knowledge of automotive industry standards and requirements (e.g., ISO 26262).
- Proficiency in German language.
- Project management experience in an R&D setting.
