We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented English Speaking Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team in Mülheim an der Ruhr. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both from our modern office and remotely. You will be responsible for supporting our procurement operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining high-quality standards and fostering strong supplier relationships. This role is crucial for optimizing our supply chain and supporting various business units across the organization, contributing to our overall operational excellence.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Execute procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers in English.
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Support the development and implementation of strategic procurement initiatives and category strategies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and supplier databases.
- Resolve procurement-related issues, discrepancies, and disputes in a timely and effective manner.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication abilities.
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis).
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Solid understanding of procurement best practices, principles, and relevant regulations.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience with SAP MM (Materials Management) or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of German language (B1 level or higher) is a plus.
- Previous experience in the industrial, manufacturing, or engineering sector.
- Professional certification in Procurement (e.g., CIPS, ISM).
