We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our technology team in Zurich. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing our hybrid cloud environments, spanning both on-premises data centers and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will work with diverse teams to ensure our infrastructure is robust, secure, scalable, and optimized for performance, supporting our mission-critical financial applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and contribute to strategic initiatives within a global financial institution. No German language skills are required for this position, as our global teams operate primarily in English.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Manage and optimize cloud resources on platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and implement automation scripts and tools for infrastructure provisioning and management using IaC principles (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance of cloud and on-premises systems.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate new applications and services into the hybrid cloud environment.
• Monitor system health, performance, and security, responding to incidents and proactively identifying areas for improvement.
• Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements across the hybrid cloud landscape.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required to support critical infrastructure.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, international team environment.

• Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL).
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
