Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Hybrid Hydrogen Storage Researcher to join our dynamic R&D team in Vienna. In this critical role, you will contribute to the development of next-generation hydrogen storage solutions, pivotal to advancing the hydrogen economy and achieving global decarbonization goals. This is an on-site position where you will be an integral part of our cutting-edge laboratory environment.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, conduct, and analyze experiments related to novel hybrid hydrogen storage materials and systems.
• Develop and optimize experimental setups for material characterization and performance testing.
• Interpret complex experimental data, identify key trends, and generate insightful reports and presentations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, material scientists, and external partners to integrate research findings into practical applications.
• Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements in hydrogen storage, materials science, and energy technology.
• Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio of Siemens Energy through patent applications and publications.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards in all research activities.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Electrochemistry, or a related field.
• Proven experience (minimum 3 years post-MSc or post-PhD) in the field of hydrogen storage technologies, including solid-state, liquid-organic, or compressed/cryogenic hydrogen.
• Demonstrated expertise in experimental design, data acquisition, and advanced analytical techniques.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Post-doctoral research experience in a relevant area.
• Track record of peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
• Familiarity with computational modeling or simulation tools for materials science.
• Experience with project management in an R&D setting.
• Proficiency in German is a plus but not required.
