Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Hybrid Naval Architecture Draftsman to join our dynamic engineering team in Friedrichshafen. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating engineering concepts and designs into detailed technical drawings and plans for various shipbuilding and marine propulsion projects. You will work closely with naval architects and engineers, contributing to the development of cutting-edge marine solutions. This position offers a hybrid work model, blending remote flexibility with essential on-site collaboration to foster innovation and teamwork.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and layouts for marine structures, systems, and components using CAD software.
• Collaborate with naval architects and engineers to understand design requirements and translate them into accurate technical documentation.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
• Review and revise existing drawings based on design changes, field feedback, and as-built conditions.
• Maintain drawing archives and documentation systems efficiently and accurately.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to optimize designs for manufacturability and performance.
• Assist in the preparation of material lists and bill of materials (BOMs).

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, CATIA) specific to marine design.
• Strong understanding of naval architecture principles and shipbuilding practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree or technical diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Drafting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a draftsman in the shipbuilding or marine industry.
• Familiarity with classification society rules (e.g., DNV, Lloyd's Register, ABS).
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.
