Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly innovative and detail-oriented Packaging Technologist with a strong focus on Packaging Design to join our dynamic R&D team in Meyrin. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions for our diverse portfolio of flavors and fragrances. You will work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, procurement, and external suppliers to deliver packaging that meets aesthetic, functional, cost, and sustainability objectives, ensuring our products are presented effectively and safely to the market.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of new packaging solutions from initial brief to commercial launch, focusing on aesthetic appeal, consumer experience, and functional performance.
• Generate detailed technical specifications, drawings, and 3D models for all packaging components (bottles, caps, pumps, labels, cartons, etc.) using CAD software.
• Conduct feasibility studies, material selection, and compatibility testing for various packaging materials.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to translate brand vision and consumer insights into innovative packaging designs.
• Work closely with R&D, operations, and external suppliers to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of packaging components.
• Organize and oversee packaging trials on production lines, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and budget constraints.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies in packaging design and sustainability.
• Ensure all packaging complies with relevant regulatory standards and quality requirements.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging design and development within the consumer goods, fragrance, or food industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ArtiosCAD) for 2D and 3D packaging design and technical drawing.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials (plastics, glass, paperboard, metals) and their properties.
• Demonstrated experience in managing packaging projects from concept to launch.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical information clearly.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

• Experience with sustainable packaging solutions and circular economy principles.
• Knowledge of packaging machinery and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for packaging in Europe (e.g., REACH, CLP).
• Proficiency in French or German is a plus.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or Project Management.
