We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a leading global professional services firm from your home office. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English, excellent analytical skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting our clients across diverse industries. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently within a collaborative virtual environment.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Manage general ledger accounts, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Perform financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Liaise with internal teams and clients to gather necessary financial information.
• Support audit preparations and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate accounting records.
• Proactively identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS.
• Expertise in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience with international accounting practices.
• Previous experience in a remote work environment.
• Knowledge of German tax regulations is a plus.
• Experience in a Big Four accounting firm.
