Stellenbeschreibung

We are looking for a highly motivated Werkstudent (student worker) to join our Linguistics Research team in Winterthur. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in natural language processing (NLP) and computational linguistics. You will support our senior researchers in various projects, focusing on data annotation, analysis, and validation, primarily with English language data. This role is perfect for a student eager to gain practical experience in an innovative and fast-paced environment, working alongside world-class experts.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist in the annotation and linguistic analysis of large datasets.
• Perform quality checks on annotated data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of annotation guidelines.
• Support researchers in data collection, processing, and experimental setup.
• Document research findings and methodology clearly and concisely.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions for new research directions.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Excellent proficiency in English (native or near-native level) with strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and semantics.
• Demonstrated interest in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Familiarity with linguistic annotation tools and methodologies.
• Basic programming skills (e.g., Python) for data manipulation and scripting.
