Are you an English-speaking student looking to gain practical experience in an international environment? Bosch in Ulm is seeking a motivated Working Student to support our Translation Memory (TM) team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and optimizing our translation databases, ensuring high-quality and consistent linguistic assets across our global projects. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your language skills, learn about localization processes, and contribute to a global technology leader. You will work closely with experienced terminologists and project managers, gaining valuable insights into professional language management and the automotive/technology industry.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Maintaining and updating Translation Memories (TMs) and term bases.
• Analyzing source and target texts for quality and consistency.
• Performing linguistic quality assurance checks on translated content.
• Assisting in the preparation and post-processing of translation projects.
• Supporting the team with various data management tasks related to localization.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather linguistic feedback.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of translation processes and tools.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Currently enrolled as a student (Bachelor's or Master's degree) in Linguistics, Translation Studies, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Excellent proficiency in English (native or near-native level) is mandatory.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of translation processes and tools is a plus.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Familiarity with CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, memoQ).
• Knowledge of another language (especially German) is beneficial.
• Initial experience with Translation Memory or Terminology Management systems.
