We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hybrid Stem Cell Biologist to join our dynamic Life Sciences Lab in Baar, Switzerland. The successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing our research and development efforts in stem cell biology, focusing on cutting-edge applications in regenerative medicine and drug discovery. This hybrid role will involve both hands-on laboratory work and data analysis, contributing to projects from experimental design through to presentation of results. You will work within a collaborative team environment, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies and contributing to the intellectual property of the company.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, execute, and analyze experiments involving human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and other primary stem cell lines.
• Perform cell culture, differentiation, and characterization of various stem cell types using molecular and cellular biology techniques.
• Develop and optimize robust protocols for stem cell expansion, genetic modification, and functional assays.
• Utilize advanced techniques such as flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, qPCR, and high-content imaging for cellular analysis.
• Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records and contribute to lab documentation.
• Analyze complex biological data, interpret results, and present findings to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including molecular biologists, bioinformaticians, and engineers.
• Contribute to the writing of scientific reports, patents, and peer-reviewed publications.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and ethical guidelines in stem cell research.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field (or Master's with significant experience)
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with human iPSC culture, differentiation, and characterization.
• Proficiency in aseptic cell culture techniques and media preparation.
• Demonstrated expertise in molecular biology techniques (e.g., qPCR, Western Blotting) and cell biology assays (e.g., immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry).
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and statistical analysis.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Experience with CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing in stem cells.
• Familiarity with automation and high-throughput screening platforms.
• Knowledge of bioreactor systems for large-scale stem cell production.
• Understanding of cGMP principles relevant to cell therapy development.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.
