As a Meteorology Intern at Siemens AG, you will play a crucial role in our remote data analytics team. This 100% remote position offers a unique opportunity to apply your meteorological knowledge and data analysis skills to real-world challenges, contributing to projects that leverage environmental and weather data for various applications. You will be instrumental in collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets, providing insights that support our smart infrastructure and digital solutions globally.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist in the collection, processing, and quality control of meteorological and environmental data from various sources.
• Perform data analysis and statistical modeling to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in weather data.
• Support the development and improvement of data visualization tools and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with senior data scientists and engineers on projects involving predictive modeling and impact assessment related to weather phenomena.
• Document data methodologies, findings, and project outcomes clearly and concisely for knowledge sharing.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and present findings to internal stakeholders.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for clear communication.
• Familiarity with fundamental meteorological concepts and common data sources.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
• Basic programming skills in Python or R, especially for data manipulation (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau, Power BI).
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
