Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Civil Estimator to join our dynamic team in Graz. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various civil construction projects, ensuring all bids are comprehensive and align with project specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop detailed proposals and contribute to the successful acquisition of new projects.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, road, bridge, and pipeline construction.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities associated with each project bid.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and develop accurate proposals.
• Solicit and review subcontractor and vendor bids for compliance with project specifications.
• Present estimates to management and clients, explaining cost breakdowns and methodologies.
• Maintain and update a database of costs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to understand project scope and conditions.
• Stay current with industry trends, material costs, and construction techniques.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil construction estimating.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., RIB iTWO, Buildertrend, or similar).
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Professional certification in estimating (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator – CPE).
• Experience with large-scale public infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of Austrian construction regulations and standards.
