Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Cotton Field Worker to join our supply chain quality assurance team. While actual cotton fields are not located in Germany, this role is crucial for our global sourcing strategy, focusing on quality control, sustainability initiatives, and research support related to cotton cultivation and processing. Based in Hamburg, you will contribute to ensuring the quality and sustainability of cotton used in Otto Group’s products. This role may involve supporting research projects, inspecting samples, and coordinating with international partners. Proficiency in English is a key requirement to facilitate communication across our diverse global network. This is an on-site position based at our Hamburg facilities.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist in the sampling and inspection of raw cotton materials, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Support sustainability initiatives by documenting and reporting on ethical sourcing practices in the cotton supply chain.
• Perform basic laboratory tasks related to fiber analysis and material testing.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and findings.
• Collaborate with international suppliers and internal teams, communicating effectively in English.
• Assist with logistical coordination for material samples and quality control processes.
• Contribute to research projects focused on new cotton varieties, cultivation methods, or textile innovations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines during tasks.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require standing, walking, or lifting.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn about agricultural processes and textile raw materials.
