Stellenbeschreibung
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Damaged Goods Logger to join our logistics team in Hamm. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for meticulously identifying, documenting, and processing damaged incoming and outgoing goods. Your accurate record-keeping and clear communication will be vital in minimizing losses and ensuring smooth operational flow within our warehouse. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work independently, and proficiency in English to interact with diverse internal teams and potentially international partners.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for any signs of damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately log all damaged items using our internal inventory management system.
- Document the nature, extent, and cause of damage, including photographic evidence when necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports for management, insurance claims, and quality control departments.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff, inventory control, and customer service to resolve issues related to damaged goods.
- Ensure proper segregation and handling of damaged items according to company procedures and safety guidelines.
- Participate in regular inventory audits and contribute to process improvement initiatives to reduce damage rates.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to identify and document various types of product damage.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with inventory management systems or willingness to learn.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages up to 20kg (within safety guidelines).

- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control environment.
- Familiarity with logistics software or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of German language is a plus but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
