We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer specializing in Big Data to join our innovative team in Freienbach, Switzerland. This critical role involves designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support our advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives across various healthcare domains. You will work with vast datasets, contributing to projects that directly impact research, development, and patient care. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) using big data technologies to ingest, process, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Build and maintain data warehousing and data lake solutions, ensuring data quality, reliability, and accessibility.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate data solutions.
• Implement and manage data governance, security, and privacy policies within the data ecosystem.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure, pipelines, and processes to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Evaluate and integrate new data tools and technologies to improve our data platform capabilities.
• Contribute to the architectural design and evolution of our big data platform.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Data Engineering with a focus on Big Data technologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
• Extensive experience with big data frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop, Flink).
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data services (e.g., S3, ADLS, BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
• Expertise in SQL and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, DataFactory).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Demonstrated ability to design and build robust, scalable, and efficient data solutions.
