We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Freelance Translators to join our global network. This remote position focuses on translating diverse content from German (DE) to English (EN) for a variety of industries, including technical, legal, marketing, and life sciences. As a Freelance Translator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and timely delivery of high-quality translations, contributing to our mission of facilitating seamless global communication. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Translate a wide range of content from German (DE) to English (EN) with exceptional accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Perform meticulous proofreading and quality assurance on translated texts to ensure linguistic precision, grammatical correctness, and adherence to client-specific style guides and terminology.
• Utilize CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools, such as Trados Studio, MemoQ, or similar, efficiently to maintain consistency and optimize workflow.
• Manage translation projects independently, meeting strict deadlines and communicating proactively with project managers regarding progress or potential issues.
• Conduct thorough research to ensure appropriate terminology and context are used across various subject matters.
• Actively participate in feedback processes and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance translation quality and efficiency.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information and sensitive documents.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Native-level proficiency in English (EN)
• Exceptional fluency and comprehension in German (DE)
• Proven experience in professional DE to EN translation
• Strong command of CAT tools (e.g., Trados Studio, MemoQ, Wordfast)
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
• Specialization in technical, legal, marketing, or medical translation
• Familiarity with Translation Memory (TM) and Terminology Management systems
• Professional translation certification (e.g., ATA, ITI, BDÜ)
• Experience with machine translation post-editing (MTPE)
