We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Hybrid Smart Grid Architect to join our dynamic team in Vienna. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of cutting-edge smart grid architectures that integrate renewable energy sources, energy storage systems, and advanced digital technologies. You will play a key role in shaping the future of energy grids, ensuring their resilience, efficiency, and sustainability. This hybrid position requires a balance of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing for effective teamwork and individual focus.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead the architectural design and evolution of complex smart grid systems, focusing on hybrid energy integration (e.g., solar, wind, battery storage).
• Define technical specifications, standards, and best practices for smart grid components and interoperability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, software development, and project management, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendors for smart grid solutions.
• Develop strategies for grid modernization, including demand-side management, microgrids, and grid automation.
• Ensure cybersecurity by design for all smart grid architectures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and engineers.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the energy sector.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Deep expertise in smart grid architectures, protocols (e.g., IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus), and standards.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy integration, energy storage systems, and distributed generation.
• Proficiency in grid management systems (SCADA, ADMS, DERMS).
• Experience with cybersecurity principles and best practices for critical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and IoT solutions in an energy context.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable architectural designs.
