We are seeking an experienced and innovative Hybrid Telecommunications Systems Architect to join our dynamic team in Mülheim an der Ruhr. This crucial role involves designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of complex telecommunications systems and networks, integrating both traditional and cutting-edge hybrid solutions. You will be instrumental in shaping our future infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in various telecommunications technologies, cloud integration, and a proven track record in system architecture within a large enterprise environment. This position requires fluent English communication skills as it will involve collaboration with international teams and documentation in English.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead the design and architecture of complex telecommunications systems, including network infrastructure, cloud-native components, and hybrid solutions.
• Develop technical specifications, architectural blueprints, and implementation strategies for new and existing telecommunications platforms.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance our network capabilities and service offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and product management, to ensure alignment of architectural designs with business objectives.
• Ensure all architectural solutions comply with security, regulatory, and performance standards.
• Provide expert guidance and technical leadership to development and implementation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct thorough reviews of existing systems to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and modernization.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation in English for all architectural designs, processes, and systems.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Systems Architect or similar role.
• Strong expertise in fixed-line, mobile (5G/LTE), and IP networking technologies.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (NFV, SDN) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices in telecommunications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCIE, JNCIE, TOGAF).
• Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• Knowledge of German language is a plus, but not required for this English-only role.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
