Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a vigilant and service-oriented Museum Attendant / Guard to join our team in Wiesbaden. This role is essential for ensuring the safety and security of our collections, premises, and visitors. You will be the first point of contact for many visitors, providing assistance and information, while also maintaining a watchful eye over the museum’s valuable exhibits. Excellent English communication skills are required to cater to our diverse international visitors.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Monitor galleries and public areas to ensure the safety and security of artworks, exhibits, and visitors.
• Respond to visitor inquiries, provide directions, and offer information about the museum's collections and facilities in English and German.
• Enforce museum rules and regulations in a courteous and professional manner.
• Report any suspicious activities, incidents, or potential hazards to management immediately.
• Assist with crowd control during peak hours, special events, and emergencies.
• Conduct regular patrols to check for security breaches, fire hazards, or maintenance issues.
• Provide first-line assistance in case of medical emergencies or other visitor incidents.
• Operate security equipment such as surveillance cameras and alarm systems, if required.
• Collaborate with other museum staff to ensure a seamless and enjoyable visitor experience.

• Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher for conversation and comprehension)
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations
• Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
• Physical fitness to stand and walk for extended periods

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Prior experience in security, customer service, or a museum environment
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR certification
• Proficiency in German (B1 level or higher)
