Join our dedicated agricultural team as an Onion Field Worker in Dortmund. This vital role involves participating in all stages of onion cultivation, from planting to harvesting, ensuring the healthy growth and high-quality yield of our crops. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions, contributing directly to the success of our fresh produce supply chain. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about agriculture, eager to learn, and comfortable with physical work in a team setting.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Prepare soil for planting, including tilling, fertilizing, and bed formation.
• Plant onion sets and seeds manually or using specialized equipment.
• Perform regular weeding, thinning, and pest control tasks to ensure optimal crop health.
• Assist with irrigation systems, ensuring adequate water supply to the onion fields.
• Operate and maintain basic farm machinery and tools safely.
• Participate in the harvesting process, including picking, sorting, and packing onions.
• Monitor crop quality and report any issues or diseases to the supervisor.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and agricultural best practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
