Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Freelance English Subtitlers/Captioners to join our global team. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with diverse and engaging media content. As a Subtitler/Captioner, you will be responsible for creating accurate and timely subtitles and captions for a variety of media, including film, television, corporate videos, and e-learning materials. Ideal candidates will have exceptional English language proficiency, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Transcribe audio content accurately into English text.
• Create precise and synchronized subtitles/captions that adhere to specific style guides and technical requirements.
• Review and edit existing subtitles/captions for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and timing.
• Ensure cultural appropriateness and nuanced understanding in all localized content.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Utilize proprietary and industry-standard subtitling software to complete tasks.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Native-level proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
• Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
• Strong listening comprehension and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in subtitling, captioning, or transcription.
• Familiarity with subtitling software (e.g., Subtitle Edit, Aegisub, Ooona, Trados).
• Experience working with different media types (e.g., film, TV, documentary, corporate).
• A degree in Linguistics, Translation, Media Studies, or a related field.
