Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Upholsterer with a keen eye for detail to join our dedicated furniture repair team in Vienna. As an Upholsterer, you will be responsible for the repair, restoration, and re-upholstery of a wide variety of furniture, from modern designs to classic pieces. This role requires excellent craftsmanship, a thorough understanding of upholstery techniques, and the ability to work with various materials and tools to deliver exceptional results.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Inspect, assess, and determine the necessary repairs for damaged furniture.
• Perform full re-upholstery, including stripping old fabric, making patterns, cutting new fabric, and applying new upholstery materials.
• Repair and replace springs, webbing, foam, padding, and structural components of furniture.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including staple guns, sewing machines, and cutting tools.
• Ensure all repairs meet high-quality standards and client specifications.
• Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide expert advice and communicate effectively with clients regarding repair options and progress.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience as an Upholsterer or Furniture Repair Technician.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in various upholstery techniques, including cutting, sewing, and fitting fabrics.
• Knowledge of different fabric types, leathers, and their properties.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Problem-solving skills and creativity in approaching repairs.
• Understanding of furniture construction and repair methods.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training in upholstery or a related field.
• A portfolio showcasing previous upholstery or furniture repair projects.
• Experience with antique furniture restoration.
• Basic knowledge of woodworking for frame repairs.
• Proficiency in German is a plus, but not strictly required.
