We are looking for a motivated and English-speaking Werkstudent to join our Meteorology Data team in Kreuzlingen. This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in processing, analyzing, and managing meteorological data within a leading national service. You will support our meteorologists and data scientists in their daily tasks, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of our weather and climate services. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Meteorology, Environmental Science, Data Science, Physics, or a related quantitative field, who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist in the collection, quality control, and processing of meteorological data from various sources.
• Perform routine data analysis and generate reports using statistical software and programming languages.
• Support the development and maintenance of meteorological databases and data visualization tools.
• Collaborate with meteorologists and researchers on specific projects, providing data support and insights.
• Contribute to the documentation of data processes and methodologies.
• Maintain high standards of data accuracy and integrity.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Meteorology, Environmental Science, Data Science, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
• Basic understanding of meteorological concepts and data types.
• Familiarity with data processing tools and methods.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, R) are a plus.
