Are you a motivated university student with a passion for software architecture looking to gain real-world experience at a global tech leader? Google Switzerland is seeking a Werkstudent (Student Worker) to join our Software Architecture team in Zurich. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist senior architects in the design and implementation of scalable and robust software systems.
• Contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of software components and modules.
• Help document architectural decisions, technical specifications, and system designs.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
• Conduct research on new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve existing architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Basic understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and system design concepts.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Previous internship or Werkstudent experience in a software development or architecture role.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
