Wintershall Dea is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Hybrid Oil & Gas Reservoir Engineer to join our dynamic team in Eimsbüttel, Hamburg. This pivotal role involves optimizing reservoir performance, conducting detailed reservoir simulations, and contributing to strategic development plans for our international assets. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in reservoir engineering principles to enhance recovery factors, manage reserves, and identify new opportunities while working in a flexible hybrid model, balancing office collaboration with remote work.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Perform detailed reservoir characterization and dynamic simulation studies.
- Develop and optimize reservoir management strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery.
- Conduct reserves estimation and provide technical input for economic evaluations.
- Monitor and analyze reservoir performance data, identifying trends and recommending interventions.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling teams to integrate subsurface data.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and participate in peer reviews.
- Utilize industry-standard software for reservoir modeling and simulation.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Minimum 3 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG, Petrel RE).
- Strong understanding of reservoir engineering principles, fluid mechanics, and rock properties.
- Experience with reserves estimation methodologies (PRMS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with unconventional reservoirs or enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
- Familiarity with Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis.
- Knowledge of German is a plus.
