Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Social Work Intern to join our remote team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in social work within a leading humanitarian organization, focusing on supporting our English-speaking programs and beneficiaries. You will contribute to vital projects by assisting with client intake, resource navigation, administrative tasks, and program support, all from a remote setting. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a difference and looking to develop their skills in a dynamic, international environment.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist social workers in conducting initial client assessments and needs analyses for English-speaking beneficiaries.
• Help navigate clients to appropriate community resources and support services.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring data integrity and privacy.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and communication materials in English.
• Conduct research on social issues, available services, and best practices in social work.
• Participate in virtual team meetings, training sessions, and case conferences.
• Provide administrative support to various social work programs and initiatives.
• Assist with outreach and engagement activities designed for English-speaking communities.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

• Basic understanding of social work principles and ethics.
• Reliable internet access and a suitable home office environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
• Prior volunteer or work experience in a social service or non-profit setting.
• Familiarity with case management software or client information systems.
• Knowledge of an additional Swiss national language (German, French, or Italian).
