Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Hybrid Bioinformatics Developer to join our innovative team in Olten, Switzerland. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to cutting-edge research by developing and implementing bioinformatics pipelines and tools to analyze complex biological data. You will work closely with biologists, data scientists, and software engineers in a hybrid work environment, blending on-site collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. Your expertise will be crucial in translating genomic and proteomic data into actionable insights that drive our pharmaceutical and diagnostic discovery efforts.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, develop, and optimize robust bioinformatics pipelines for high-throughput sequencing data (e.g., WGS, RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq).
• Implement and maintain bioinformatics tools and databases to support research projects.
• Perform statistical analysis and data visualization of large-scale biological datasets.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to understand research questions and provide bioinformatics solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and reproducibility in all analyses.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in bioinformatics and computational biology.
• Contribute to the documentation of analytical methods and results.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R.
• Extensive experience with bioinformatics tools and databases (e.g., Bioconductor, BEDTools, GATK).
• Solid understanding of molecular biology, genomics, and genetics.
• Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
